Platypus
Platypus is a semi-aquatiq animals are mostly found in the eastern
part of the Australian continent. platypus is
typical of Australian animals, Although Platypus
lay eggs but belong to the class of mammals because breastfeeding her child. Platypus has a beak and webbed
feet like ducks.
Platypus weight ranged from under 1 kg up to more
than 2 kg. The body length of about 30-40 cm long and its
tail about 10-15 cm (males) and 8-13 cm (females). Platypus males up to
3x larger females. Platypus
body temperature of about 32oC. This temperature is
lower than most mammals (around 38oC). Platypus's body
covered with brown feathers that keep the body warm. Platypus webbed feet
like ducks. Platypus also has a beak like a duck. Part of this is used
as sensor organs.
Platypus lives in streams,
rivers, and lakes. Female platypus usually dig burrows in the streams or river
banks. The burrows are blocked with soil to protect it from intruders and
flooding. In the other hand, male platypus does not need any burrow to stay, Platypus is a good swimmer and
spends much of her time in the water for food .Platipus eat worms, insect
larvae ,who dug or swim when he was arrested.
Platypus is also a venomous
animal. This can be used in the seizure of territory or fighting battles among
friends.
